Facilities Services


Welcome! Facilities Services is one of the largest departments at UC Riverside, employing nearly 400 career employees. Facilities Services aims to provide exceptional service in maintaining an environment conducive to teaching, learning, living, working and research for the entire campus community. The department maintains facilities and landscape, totaling over 6 million square feet across 1,350 acres of campus.

In 2017, Physical Plant and Housing, Dining & Residential Services rebranded, and the department is now known as Facilities Services. We are a team of service oriented professionals focused on exceptional client engagement, continuous improvement and development opportunities.

Building Zone Manager Support 

As the customer relations team continues to grow and evolve we look for opportunities to take additional steps of providing improved support to all our campus partners. 
Enrico Baez or Ron Veloz will be available as your main point of contact for facilities related questions and concerns. Ron will serve those organizations with a deep concentration of research while Enrico will support our other academic and administrative partners. This approach helps us prepare for the opening and serving of such locations as MRB1 in the coming year.
Feel free to reach out to your BZM with your facilities issues including minor renovation projects, aging work orders and any other facilities related issues.  Please begin your inquiries with either Enrico at (951) 827-3817 at or Ron at (951) 827-4958 prior to reaching out to any specialty trade supervisors.

Join us in the Campaign for Taking the Stairs

Taking the Stairs CampaignThe FS team cleaned and painted the stairwells in Surge and Olmsted Hall to make way for the Take the Stairs Initiative.
The campaign intends to promote an environment that allows faculty, staff, and students the opportunity to feel motivated about making small changes to become more physically active.
The campaign is part of a system-wide effort promoted via the Healthy Campus Network, which aims to make the healthy choice the easy choice, through the creation of social conditions that nurture healthy and productive behaviors, healthy work and academic environments, and culture change. Welcome Ronald "Monty" Anderson

Please join us in welcoming Ronald “Monty” Anderson to the Facilities Services team as our new Director of Customer Relations.
Monty AndersonMonty brings a myriad of experience and knowledge as a seasoned customer service professional and manager with a career spanning industries covering manufacturing, sales, healthcare, and higher education. Monty is a noted speaker on call center initiatives and developed the nation’s first university student health contact center during his time as Director at USC.
As Director of Customer Relations, Monty will oversee the Customer Relations unit of Facilities Services. He will be tasked with leading and ensuring the delivery of a customer experience that is responsive, engaging, and adaptable for all members of the campus community.
Monty’s office is located in the Corporation Yard Building B North 0125C. His extension is 2-6080.
