On Wednesday, October 30, 2019, Facilities Services (FS) partnered with Global Risk Consultants to complete an onsite property valuation. The purpose of the visit was to provide UCR with an opinion of Replacement Cost for insurance purposes.
To ensure safety and security during the assessment, our Building Zone Manager, Enrico Baez, escorted a small group of project officials through each building listed below to perform a brief walk through to collect building construction cost data.
The assessment had minimal impact on research, classroom instruction or administrative operations as the focus was concentrated on general space and behind-the-scenes mechanical locations within each building. However, there was the option to enter every space, including labs, classrooms, administrative offices and other locations for the inspection.
Building were specifically selected due to location, scope, and size of space to match the goals of this campus-wide project which will eventually capture nearly every CORE building at UCR. This phase included:

· Culver Center for the Arts
· Fawcett Lab
· Genomics Building
· Glen Mor
· Highlander Union Building (HUB)
· Humanities Theatre Studio
· Lothian Residence Hall
· Physical Education Building
· Science Laboratory 1
· Skye Hall
The assessment took place from Wednesday, October 30, 2019 – Friday, November 1, 2019 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
